What rubber duck owners say

★★★★★

I had a burst seam on my Stingray semi-rigid just before I was going on holiday. Called the Pontoon Guru and I was sorted and good to go by the next morning.

Questions

Common questions from boat owners

Do you come to the boat, or do I bring it to you?

Both. I'm based in Mtunzini. If you bring the boat to me, the inspection fee is up to R500. If I come to you, it's the inspection fee plus R10 per kilometre, there and back. For example, a boat 50 km away is R500 + R1,000 travel = R1,500.

Do you charge for the inspection?

Yes, up to R500. I inspect the whole boat before I quote, because the obvious problem is rarely the only one. That way you get one honest price and no surprises.

Which inflatables do you repair?

PVC and Hypalon rubber ducks, semi-rigids, RIBs and pontoons.

How long does a repair take?

It depends on the damage, but on average about a week.

Can my tube be repaired, or does it need replacing?

Torn tubes can be repaired. Very old tubes where the material has perished usually can't, and I'll tell you honestly once I've inspected the boat.

Which outboards do you service?

All makes. I service 4-stroke motors too, but computer diagnostics and software updates on 4-strokes need a dealer.

How far do you travel?

There's no limit. Travel is R10 per kilometre, there and back, so wherever your boat is, I can come to you.

Do you work weekends?

Yes.

Rubber duck leaking? Give me a call.

Tell me what's wrong and where the boat is. I'll book in an inspection and give you a full quote once I've seen it.
